Is a casket required for cremation: A casket is not required for cremation; the crematory does requires the use of an "alternative container" a rigid combustible container which is used for cremation.
Is embalming required for cremation: Embalming is not required for cremation. We are required by law to hold remains under refrigeration within 24 hours of coming into our care.
What does "final place of disposition" mean: That refers to the final placement of the cremated remains; it can be burial in a cemetery plot; scattering at sea, over 500 yards off the coast; or keeping at home, you will then need to make provisions for them upon your passing.
Do you accept pre-paid plans from other cremation services: In most cases yes, of course we would review your plan and paperwork with you first.
Should I consider planning ahead: We believe that planning ahead allows your family the peace of mind knowing they honoring your wishes and that the details have been put down on paper by you; but only you can decide for yourself. You may call for an appointment and we can meet with you and answer any questions you may have regarding making pre-arrangements.
